Cutting performance and durability:

The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the knife life can be influenced by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the performance can be well customised to the input material.

Knifes in this W-version are 5% softer in comparison to the X-variant and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. The spare part is manufactured out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it suitable for demanding areas of applications. However this option has a shorter durability.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the lifetime of the knife.

We highlight that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

This component is applicable for knives and also cutting crowns with the length and width of 110mm. With regard to the various range of models, further configuration variations can be realised.

When installing, please also ensure that the support of the knifes is in an undamaged condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
