Compared to the Y-, X-, W- and W9-variants, the W8-variant wears more quickly, but in return demonstrates high toughness. This option is resistant to many impurities and is accordingly perfect for utilizations with demanding conditions. This W8-version has an advantage in terms of sustainability. This is because worn out components can usually be re-welded or re-armoured without resulting in breakage or machine damage. The material is a cold work steel.
Components of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.
Fastening in the machine:
The cutter has a drilling for attaching to M12 threads.
When installing, please also assure that the support of the cutters is in an undamaged condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
