The stator knife is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-variation, which is the standard version in most application areas.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

In this variant, the components are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the stator knife wears steadily over its lifetime.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 15°.
