The performance of this product depends chiefly on the version of the material and shape.

In the X-variant, the rotor knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most break down applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Items of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.

Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

It is imperative that the rotor knife is only affixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with intact supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
