The cutting tool shown is made of tool steel in the X-variant, which is our standard variation for most areas of application. The hardness of this rotor knife is in the medium range.

Here you are offered a good compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

Components of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will significantly weaken the structure.

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

When installing the rotor knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
